Logos and emblems do an incredible job in providing identities and bringing people together. Team name and logos provide an identity that the team members can instantly associate with, as a group. Designing a team logo together can serve as an excellent starting point in the process of team building and accomplishing tasks together. This activity is to be done immediately after dividing the students into teams. The activity is intended to make the team members work closely, bring them together, and provide them with an identity that they can instantly associate with.

Instructions to be given to students
Step 0:
Divide the students into teams, if that’s not done already. The teams are expected to work together at least for three months from the date of this activity.
Step 1:
The activity involves three stages - Ideation, Execution, and Presentation.
In the Ideation Phase, the team has to ideate the logo. Before ideating the logo, the teams should have decided their team names. Students should be encouraged to frame a team name to signify the uniqueness of the members in the team. The logo should also signify the same.
Step 2:
In the Execution Stage, all the team members should be encouraged to collaborate. Each and every student should be able to pinpoint their specific work in the making of the logo.
Step 3:
Once the logos are designed, all the teams should be asked to present their logo to the entire group and also explain the meaning behind it.
Special Instructions for Facilitators
Dividing of teams
It’s ideal if the facilitators take charge of dividing the students into groups, instead of dividing them arbitrarily. Since the teams are expected to work together for at least three months, facilitators can form teams based on the strengths of the different students.
Involvement of all the team members
In activities like this, it’s quite likely that certain members of the team tend to dominate the process. The facilitator can take extra care to ensure that all the team members are participative.
Make it part of the Prayogshala Decor
Feature the logos designed by the teams in the Prayogshala space. It can be done just by sticking them on the walls. This simple act with the right words of motivation could serve as a good nudge in enabling children to own the space and take care of it.
Have fun making and share the works of your students with the hashtag #projectprayogshala to get featured!
